1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TheGameDNA ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
TheGameDNA provides an interactive platform for exploring video game franchise data, comparing critic and community ratings, generating a personal Gamer Identity profile, and participating in the GameGuessr quiz game. All features are provided "as is" and are subject to change or discontinuation at any time without notice.
3. User Accounts
Some features of TheGameDNA require a registered account. When creating an account, you agree to:

- ·Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, are being used in a harmful, abusive, or deceptive manner.
4. GameGuessr — Quiz Game Rules
The GameGuessr mini-game ("the Quiz") is an interactive quiz where players identify video games from screenshots. By participating, you agree to the following rules:
Fair Play
You may not use automated scripts, bots, or any software to artificially inflate your score. Each quiz session must be completed by a human player.
Daily Challenge
The Daily Challenge presents the same 10 questions to all players each calendar day. You may attempt the Daily Challenge once per day. Submitting a score replaces your previous score only if the new score is higher.
Random Mode
Random Mode questions are generated freshly each session. All completed sessions are recorded on the all-time leaderboard.
Leaderboard Integrity
Scores are calculated server-side and cannot be manually submitted. Attempting to manipulate leaderboard scores via direct database access or API calls constitutes a violation of these Terms.
Scoring
Each question is worth up to 150 points (100 for a correct answer plus up to 50 speed bonus). The maximum score per session is 1,500 points across 10 questions.
5. Gamer Identity Tool
The Gamer Identity tool analyses your self-reported game library to generate a psychological profile and archetype classification. This profile is generated algorithmically based on genre associations and is intended for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. It does not constitute professional psychological assessment or advice. Results may vary with changes to your game library or the underlying algorithm.
6. Intellectual Property
All game names, logos, screenshots, and related assets displayed on TheGameDNA are the property of their respective owners. TheGameDNA does not claim ownership of any third-party game assets. Our original content — including the Platform's interface, Identity Radar algorithm, quiz scoring system, and editorial writing — is the intellectual property of TheGameDNA and may not be reproduced without express written permission.
7. Third-Party Content & Advertising
TheGameDNA may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising networks. We are not responsible for the content of these advertisements. TheGameDNA may also contain links to external websites. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked third-party sites.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TheGameDNA and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Platform (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Platform after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
